More than a hundred years ago, a small schoolhouse stood on
the land where Twin Hickory is now located. Known only as the
Record School, historic research shows that it was constructed
during the summer of 1882.  The school's name came from the
tract's owners, Nathaniel and Lucy Record, farmers who
purchased the parcel in 1879.
