County Laptop Program

in industry partners with
Virginia's finest for a better
future for children.
RICHMOND,
VA.
- Henrico County Public Schools
announced an agreement with
Apple® to provide 23,000 iBooks
to county students-the largest
laptop computer sale to
education ever. This major
technology initiative will
provide every middle and high
school student and teacher
access to their own laptop
computers.
This
innovative program redefines the
role of technology and will
forever change teaching and
learning for students and
teachers in the classrooms of
Henrico County. This effort,
which permits "total computer
access" for students in this
diverse school district, opens
up a world of information to
every child of every
socioeconomic background.
"Students, teachers, parents and
the community will now have the
best technology tools in the
world at their fingertips every
day," said Mark A. Edwards,
superintendent of Henrico County
schools.
"This is
mammoth-the single largest sale
of portable computers in
education ever," said Steve
Jobs, Apple's® CEO. "Apple is

County Public Schools in their

when every student and teacher
